DESCRIPTION
In Lloreda de Cayón, in a peaceful and quiet environment, is located El Palacio, a large house built in typical mountain architecture with a 1,000 m2 surface area , in which the architectural wealth of its principal façade and its dimensions stand out. It is a building of Renaissance influence, with some baroque decorative details, built around the end of 16th century and rehabilitated in the year 1997 with the Hotel category of 3 stars.
El Palacio is located in the Pisueña region, in the Valle de Cayón, 27 kms. from Santander by the highway that leads to the Parque de la Naturaleza de Cabárceno (7 km). The villas pasiegas, the Prehistoric Caves of Puente Viesgo, the Palace of Soñanes in Villacarriedo, the Colegiata de Castañeda, and the mountain Layal are some of the attractions that exist in the surroundings of El Palacio.
FACILITIES
The establishment has 7 spacious rooms with full bathroom, telephone, small library, TV and hair dryer. One of them has an annex living-room. Each room is decorated in a different way , offering the guests the possibility of choosing the room that best fits their tastes and availability. All offer comfort products.
Cafeteria in which you can enjoy exquisite appetizers, as well as breakfasts and snacks. Library installed in a living room of 27 m2, has about 2,000 free conference volumes, as well as piano and chess-checkerboards. Exterior terrace: Garden surface of 190 m2, with well, in which tables are installed in the summer. Game room with cards, Chess, Parchís, Trivial Pursuit, etc. TV room and videos.
ACTIVITIES
Given the characteristics of the area, there is the possibility of activities such as hiking, mountain-bike, cultural routes, visit to prehistoric caves, etc., facilitating the documentation necessary for these outings.
RESTAURANT
The restaurant is located in a comfortable and cozy living-room with fireplace located on the ground floor where you can enjoy exquisite meals from the traditional kitchen of Cantabria, all of them made with high quality products.
