DESCRIPTION
The Posada Real del Infante is located to the south of the Gredos Mountain Range in the Tiétar Valley, between the towns of Arenas de San Pedro and Ramacastańas.
The services and facilities of the Posada Real del Infante are located in two buildings, which stand grounds covering two hectares. The former post house, once a stopping point for stagecoaches, has been carefully restored using the original
materials and now houses the reception area, dining room, separate coffee shop and activity room where guests can enjoy board games, watch television or read newspapers and
magazines. The other building houses the accommodation area plus a spacious lounge with a fireplace. Both areas have WiFi Internet access.
The Posada Real del Infante boasts a total of eleven rooms (five doubles, three superior and three suites). Each impeccable room features its own unique décor based on light and pastel tones. All rooms offer spectacular views of the surrounding countryside and are equipped with
heating, air conditioning, electric blinds and a television. The ensuite bathrooms all have showers or bath tubs with a hydromassage
column and a selection of amenities. The Posada
also has a room and ensuite bathroom adapted for guests with reduced mobility.
The Posada Real is set in extensive grounds including summer terraces where guests can relax during fine weather. One of the terraces is located between the accommodation and
dining areas, enabling guests to eat outside when the weather is warm. There is also another covered terrace situated next to the dining room.
The restaurant, which features a large fireplace, serves typical regional fare combined with signature cuisine based on top quality ingredients, adding a modern twist to traditional dishes. Specialities include the sautéed beans and pumpkin sausage, salads served with balsamic vinegar and oil dressings, traditional
meats from Ávila and desserts such as the delicious cheese crčme caramel with quince jelly sauce. The restaurant also offers an extensive wine list to accompany these mouthwatering
dishes. Arenas de San Pedro boasts a number of outstanding monuments (La Triste Condesa Castle, the Royal Palace of El Infante
Don Luis, the Shrine of San Pedro de Alcántara, etc.), which are all well worth exploring. Yet this is also the ideal area for lovers of nature and spectacular landscapes. Highlights include the
Águila Caves, the Gorge of the Five Towns, the Calzada del Pico Archaeological Site, etc. The Posada Real del Infante also offers a range of activities in collaboration with local firms
including pony trekking, canoeing, ziplining, golf and hiking
