DESCRIPTION
The Rural Houses "Cortijo Balzaín", are located in the Sierra Nevada Nature Reserve, in the heart of the mountain and close to Granada. Granada 8 km away (10 minutes) / Ski resort 30 km. away / Costa Tropical 45 km. away.
The Residential Area has 9 villas with Swimming pool and a Rural Restaurant that is just for the lodgers and where you are served breakfasts and home-made meals at a low price.
The Cortijo Balzaín brings us to mind a small village in the heart of the mountain. It is an ideal place to rest and enjoy the nature without resisting to the beautiful things that both the city and province of Granada offer: the mountain and the sea, sports and adventure, culture and gastronomy.
The houses have a real rural construction, with wood and reed roofs and stonewalls that give an excellent thermic insulation: warm in winter and very cool in summer. They are situated in the old outbuildings of the Farm and their names recall us their old uses: the stable, the stall, the farmyard, the straw loft, the barn...
They are equipped with all the comfort that we demand nowadays: central heating and hot water, complete kitchen, spacious lounge-dining room with a television set, 2 double rooms with Flex deluxe-hotel beds, complete bathroom with hair-drier, ceiling fans, 2 sofas of 3 places in the lounge, independent terrace with furniture and barbecue. Car park.
The kitchen has a fridge, electric cooker, microwave-grill oven, oven-toaster, mixer, pressure cooker and all the household equipment that you need to cook and serve.
The farmers family of the Farm are available the whole day. They keep everything clean and serve the lodgers.
They are very kind and discreet and cook very well.
The town called La Zubia is 2 km. from Balzaín and there we can find supermarkets, chemist´s, banks, 24 hours medical service, bars, restaurants, etc.
